Pendidikan Islam Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Sebagai Upaya Memperkuat Identitas Generasi Muda

Abstract

The development of globalization and digital technology has weakened the cultural identity and religious character of the younger generation due to the dominance of global culture in modern society. This study aims to analyze Islamic education based on local wisdom as an effort to strengthen the identity of the younger generation through the integration of cultural and Islamic values in education. This research employed a library research method using data sources from scientific journals, books, and various relevant literature on Islamic education, local wisdom, and youth identity. Data collection techniques were conducted through documentation studies, while data analysis used content analysis. The results showed that Islamic education based on local wisdom is capable of strengthening religious character, cultural awareness, social concern, and maintaining the identity of the younger generation amid globalization and digital modernization.
